EU and International
The international efforts in Uddevalla shall:
Uddevalla is part of West Sweden,
the representation office of western Sweden.
Uddevalla is a member of the Sweden Emilio Romagna Network (SERN)
where the aims of the municipality are to seek cooperation, exchange of experience and competence, and to initiate and run joint development projects mainly in four areas. Business and entrepreneurship in the field of tourism. Health and welfare, specifically elder care. Culture and leisure. Education, training and exchange of civil servants within; childcare, compulsory education, post-secondary education, and higher education.
Uddevalla has contacts all over the world, most intense with the northern part of Europe. To create good life conditions it is essential that our small scaled businesses and our NGOs make contacts and get impulses from other cultures. We encourage increased linguistic and intercultural competence.
The Municipal Council has the overall responsibility, the Executive Board have the running responsibility.
The Executive Office is coordinating international relations, Development Officer Kristofer Lundqvist and our Twin Towns, Municipal Cheif Executive Ylva Runnström.
